    Not The Onion: Android 4.4 KitKat now runs on 2 percent of Android devices


    Android activationsAs February 4, 2014, Google’s Android 4.4 mobile OS is now installed on 1.8 percent of Android devices, as reported by Google on its Android Developer blog. The stats show that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update is dominating Android devices installed on 60.1 percent of devices. Surprisingly, Gingerbread (released 4 years ago), is beating KitKat installed on 20 percent of devices. Android 4 – 4.0.4 is consuming 16.1 percent of devices.
