Ever since Android Ice Scream Sandwich was released, developers have been working to port it on most modern Android phones. Now developer jcarrz1 from XDA-Developers is working on a port to run Android 4.0 on the first smartphone that was released that used the Android mobile OS, the HTC G1 . Developer jcarrz1 has put up a video demonstrating the work he has currently done on the port. jcarrz1 has been able to successfully make all the Android 4.0 features, touchscreen (but laggy), and all apps to work on the HTC G1. As you would expect, Android 4.0 doesn’t perfectly run on this device. It has issues with WiFi, Bluetooth, and rotations.
