Apple explains the reason why it took so long to launch White iPhone

    -

The White iPhone 4 is finally launching tomorrow, yeah it took so long to launch the white iPhone 4. But some of you are probably wondering why it took Apple 10 months to produce this model, or what was so hard spraying a peace of plastic with white paint.

Well, it doesn’t look as simple spraying white paint into a peace of plastic after all. During an exclusive interview with All Things Digital’s Ina Fried the Big Guys of Apple, Steve Jobs and Phil Schiller, explained the reason why it took so long to launch the white iPhone 4. In the interview, Schiller stated that the colors was unexpectedly interfering with some internal parts of the phone. It was also said that a white iPhone needs more protection from the sun.

“It was challenging,” Apple senior vice president Phil Schiller said during a joint interview with CEO Steve Jobs on Wednesday. “It’s not as simple as making something white. There’s a lot more that goes into both the material science of it–how it holds up over time…but also in how it all works with the sensors.”

Hopefully this mean iPhone 5 will be available in white and black at the same time when it get release.
