The iPhone will receive another prepaid carrier later this year according to a tweet posted by @evleaks and reported by 9to5mac. Evleaks claims that Boost Mobile, a carrier that operates on Sprint’s network, will become the next prepaid carrier in the US to carry Apple’s iPhones. The carrier will start selling the phone on Q3 of 2013.

Cricket, another carrier that operates on Sprint’s network, became the first Sprint MVNO to carry the iPhone on June, offering the first CDMA prepaid iPhone in the US.

Tired of Sprint garbage 3G speeds? Well if you’re or visit one of the cities below and have a 4G LTE device on Sprint network like the Galaxy S3 or iPhone 5, then you’ll notice faster speeds. According to a leaked memo from phoneArena, Sprint will officially announce 21 new cities that will be covered (or already are) with their LTE on April 12th.

These are the cities that will receive LTE coverage from Sprint starting April 12th:

• California: Los Angeles, Contra Costa County
• Florida: Palm Bay, Port St. Lucie, West Palm Beach
• Indiana: Bloomington and Lafayette
• Illinois: Rochelle
• Minnesota: Mankato-North Mankato
• Missouri: Joplin
• North Carolina: Charlotte, Shelby, Albemarle, Sailsbury, Lincolnton
• Tennessee: Memphis, Greenville, Tullahoma
• Texas: Denison, Kerrville
• Virginia: Norfolk-Virginia Beach-Newport News

With 4G LTE, Sprint customers can receive download speeds between 6 and 8 Mbps on average, and occasionally 25 Mbps at most.

Sprint, the shittiest carrier in the US, announced that its  LTE is available for customers in nine new markets. Sprint customers in the following markets should now be able to use LTE in their LTE-capable phones. Sprint’s Network Vision upgrade also brings faster 3G data.

• Columbus, Ind.
• Elkhart/Goshen, Ind.
• Hammond, La.
• La Crosse, Wis.

Still, Sprint customers in populated areas like New Jersey or New York will still have keep using 3G, which doesn’t even allow customers to watch a 30 seconds video or do a simple Google search without waiting a minute. Those customers will have to keep paying Sprint for a premium data so that Sprint can deploy LTE in towns to claim they have unlimited LTE data on their commercials.

It appears that Sprint will carry a Windows Phone 8 smartphone early this year. As discovered by TheVerge, Sprint announced that a Windows Phone 8 is ‘coming soon’ in a support page created on  January 3rd of this year. The page doesn’t mention any phone specifically. If you like Windows Phone 8 devices, then you will love unlimited data. Once Sprint obtains the Windows Phone 8 it will be the only opportunity to have a Windows Phone 8 with unlimited data in the US.

Sprint later this month will launch its prepaid plans named “Sprint As You Go.” According to leaked internal documents, Sprint will begin to offer contract-free plans starting January 25th. The plans will be limited to four phones only once “Sprint As You Go” start being offered, two smartphones and two feature phones. Sprint will offer the LG Optimus Elite and Samsung Victory to those who want to purchase a smartphone for a price of $149.99 and $249.99 respectively with no subsidy. Those looking for a cheaper price will be able to buy a Samsung M400 or a Samsung Array for $49.99 and $79.99. Plan for feature phones will cost $50/month while $79 for smartphone plan. The plans include unlimited data, text, and voice.

With T-Mobile launching 4G LTE next year, it appears that Samsung will release a Galaxy S3 that will be compatible with T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network. T-Mobile’s currently Galaxy S III (SGH-T999) only runs on T-Mobile HSPA+ network, which is slower than LTE. A new device named SGH-T999L was confirmed by Bluetooth SIG. The T999L is rumored to be a Galaxy S III for T-Mobile supporting 4G LTE. Although it’s likely that this phone will be a 4G LTE for T-Mobile, it’s still not completely confirmed. The only information that indicate the LTE in the phone is the extra L in T999L, as reported by androidcommunity.com.

Sprint today announced that its 4G LTE is now available in 11 additional cities. 4G LTE devices such as the iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S3 or HTC EVO 4G LTE should now get faster data speed in the following cities using its 4G LTE:

• Anderson, Ind.
• Clarke County, Va./Jefferson County, W.Va.
• Harrisburg/Carlisle/Hershey, Pa.
• Hagerstown, Md./Martinsburg, W.Va.
• Harrisonburg, Va.
• Muncie, Ind.
• Peabody, Mass.
• Salina, Kan.
• Shenandoah County, Va.
• South Bend/Mishawaka, Ind.
• Winchester, Va.

Customers in those areas also received 3G improvements including better wireless signal strength, in-building coverage, and fewer drops calls.

Apparently, AT&T is extending the use of FaceTime over 3G/4G data to all of its customers regardless of what data plans or device they have. At the beginning of this month, the carrier announced that FaceTime over cellular on iOS 6 would be available to customers with a ”tiered data plan” and an iPhone 5 only, excluding iPhone 4/4S and users with grandfathered unlimited data.

Many AT&T customers are reporting that AT&T is now allowing all users to use FaceTime over cellular, even those on iPhone 4/4S or with grandfathered unlimited data plan. The reports started  on MacRumors forums, where member kre62 says that his iPhone 5 on unlimited data now make FaceTime calls over cellular after he rebooted the phone and turned on FaceTime over cellular from the settings.

Google is not only the top search engine, but it also controls a big part of the mobile market with its Android operating system for cell phones and tablets. Google’s next big business might be a cellphone provider. A new report from The Wall Street Jounal claims that Google and satellite-TV provider Dish Network held a meeting to talk about the possibility of partnering up a wireless provider that would compete with other carriers like AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon. The report says that the deal with Google and Dish aren’t advanced and could lead up nowhere.
