The Design
A hardware redesign was one of the most wanted feature of the next iPhone. Unfortunately, the iPhone 4S has the same design of the current iPhone 4. We will have to wait until the iPhone 5 to see if Apple comes with another design for the iPhone.
Upgraded iPhone 4S new camera
One thing Apple has done on every new iPhone that they have release every year is to upgrade the camera. On the iPhone 4S, Apple has upgrade the camera and have added new features.
8 megapixels:Â The camera in the iPhone 4S features an 8 megapixels sensor, vs the 5 megapixels in the iPhone 4. The new sensor in the iPhone 4S is a CMOS backside illuminated. Apple claims that this sensor gets you 73% more light than the sensor found in the iPhone 4.
Full HD 1080p Video:Â With the new sensor and improve lens in the iPhone 4S camera, you will be able to shoot videos at 1080p with Real-time stabilization new feature.
CPU and graphics
The iPhone 4S uses the same dual core A5 CPU that the iPad 2 use. The iPhone 4S has dual-core graphics, which renders applications more detailed and faster. Apple says that with the A5 CPU and dual -core graphics, the iPhone 4S is seven times faster than the iPhone 4.
New carrier
Apple added another carrier as one of the official carriers in the US for iPhone , and that carrier is Sprint. Now the iPhone will be available in three carrier in the states: AT&T, Sprint and Verizon. No shit for T-Mobile yet.
4G LTE or faster data speed
Not, yet. The iPhone 4S will be compatible with HSPA+ networks, a much faster network than the iPhone 4 3G, it’s like 3.5G with a theoretical download speed of 14.4Mbps.
Battery life
I know. We all wants our phones’ battery to last longer. That’s not happening with the iPhone 4S. Even with the new A5 CPU, the iPhone 4S battery last the same as the iPhone 4. As Apple says, the iPhone 4S battery will last up to 8 hours talking on 3G, 14 hours talking on 2G, 6 hours using WiFi, up to 40 hours listening music and 10 hours watching videos.
Storage capability and colors
The iPhone 4S will be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. As away, it will be available in white and black.
Siri, your personal secretary
Apple will include a new feature called Siri that will only be available on the iPhone 4S. Siri can send and receive test messages or emails with your voice — it’s like to voice command that talks back to you. According to Apple, it understand what you say and replay back to you.
Price and release date for this peace of shit
This device will be available in three model: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. The 16Gb model will cost $199 while the 32GB costing $299. The new 64GB would cost you $399. These three models will be available in black or white.
Pre-order for this devices will start on October 7 on AT&T, Sprint or Verizon Wireless.
For those not in the US
Apple will start selling the iPhone 4S only in the United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, France, Germany and Japan.
