Woman arrested after her own car snitched on her (video)

A woman in Port St. Lucie, Florida was arrested shortly after her own vehicle snitched on her. After committing a hit-and-run on two different vehicles, 57-year-old Cathy Bernstein thought she did not leave any trace behind. What she failed to realize is that her Ford Focus has a safety feature that automatically dial 911 whenever the vehicle is involved in an accident.

Once in contact with the 911 dispatcher, Bernstein lied to the dispatcher stating, Mam there’s no problem. Everything was fine.” The dispatcher questioned her lies, “OK but your car called saying you’d been involved in accident. It doesn’t do that for no reason.” The dispatcher asks her if she left the scene of the accident. On which Bernstein lied again stating, “No I would never do that.”

One of the victim, Anna Preston, did not just have her van ruined, but Bernstein also ruined a Christmas surprise due to the impact of the rear end collision. Bernstein was then jailed after being treated at the hospital.
