The Xbox One will see its first post-launch update today, December 10th. Microsoft’s Larry Page announced that an update for the Xbox One that will fix several problems with Smartglass, multiplayer, notification, and dashboard performance. The update will also improve Xbox One’s TV, and connectivity issues with wireless networking driver. The update will have different installation procedures than the Xbox 360. Larry Page stated on his blog that users using “Instant On” will have the update downloaded while the system is off and will have to manually power on the system. After turning on the system, the Xbox One will install the update and reboot. The update will be mandatory after December 12th.
Although there’s no new features added in this update, Larry Page said that more update are coming next year based on feedbacks from the Xbox community.
