If you were not a Canadian PS4 early adopter, then you will have to pay more for the console, games, and accessories. The Canadian Sony Computer Entertainment on Friday confirmed to the Toronto Sun that the PlayStation 4 console will have a price increase beginning on March 15. The PS4 console will have a $50 price increase, going from $399.99 to $449.99. Sony will not only raised the prince of the console but its accessories as well. The company told the Toronto Sun that the price of the DualShock 4 controller and PlayStation Camera will now cost $65. Upcoming PS4 exclusives will be priced at $70.
Not giving an specific reason, Sony stated that price increases was due to “changes in the market environment.” This is likely due to weaker Canadian dollars compared to American dollars.
