The Xbox One kinect is one of the most unappreciated feature of the console. Because of the inclusion of the Kinect motion camera, the Xbox One console will cost more than the PS4. The camera also have to be plugged to the console all time, even if not being used. This has made many people hate the Xbox One to go with the PS4 instead. It turn out that Microsoft spent almost as much money to make the Kinect as it did for the Xbox One. An anonymous Xbox One developer unveiled in a Reddit ‘Ask Me Anything’ thread that “the sensor costs almost as much as the console to make.”
The Xbox One will be available on November of this year for $499, while Sony PS4 will cost $399 without additional cameras.
