What iPhone 4 owners got for the “Antennagate” scandal lawsuit

    -

The iPhone 4 class-action lawsuit because of the antenna problem known as the ‘Antennagate’ that was filed against Apple back in 2010 one month after the iPhone 4 was released has finally settled, according to CNET. The suit was filed by 18 different people claiming that Apple was “misrepresenting and concealing material information in the marketing, advertising, sale, and servicing of its iPhone 4–particularly as it relates to the quality of the mobile phone antenna and reception and related software.” Apple will have to give a compensation of $15 or another free bumper case to iPhone 4 owners from the US. It’s not known yet if the compensation will be given to owners that already received the free bumper case from Apple already or if proof of purchase will be needed. Maybe we will be able to cheat the system and get one free?

To receive the $15 or bumper case, you will be able to go to www.iPhone4Settlement.com and register your claim, once the site is up and running — which is not, yet. An e-mail will be sent by Apple to iPhone 4 owners to let them know about the settlement no later than April 30, 2012.
