According to Winrumors, Microsoft appears to be working on a new feature that will be introduced in Windows 8 called History Vault. If you are a Mac OS X owner this will be a familiar feature for you already, because History Vault will be similar to Time Machine on Mac OS X systems.
With this feature, Windows 8 users will be able to back up their files and data automatically using Windows existing function Shadow Copies. This feature will allow users to restore to a specific time or date on the system.
