Sony were not joking when they said the PS Vita is almost as powerful as the PS3. In a recent interview with Eurogamer, Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida confirmed that the PlayStation Vita will feature 512 MB of RAM to allows players to run applications in the background while playing games, and one the features that will utilize it will be cross-game chat. He also says that one of the reasons they diced to include 512 MB of RAM in the PS Vita is becuase it makes it easier to developers to develop games
